Birders for Birds
Donating new optics and field guides in Mexico
Want to donate now? Click here, to go to our "Donate!" section.
Our program "Birders for Birds" was developed in 2009 to provide an easy means for generous people to donate new optical equipment (binoculars and telescopes) and field guides to bird-related projects, courses, communities, and guides that are dedicated to birds and their conservation here in Mexico. Birders for Birds is partnered with Aveoptica, www.aveoptica.com, the first, and only, birding and optics store in Mexico.

Chavarrillo, Veracruz. We recently received a donation of binoculars for our friends in Chavarrillo, and the community tourism group, Cafaselva (www.cafaselva.com) where
Aldo Contreras conducts an annual Spring hawk migration monitoing project. This is a group photo of our local birding club, COAX, in Chavarrillo.
